Why is a changeover switch needed?
It isolates your installation from the grid while the generator is running. Without it, power can feed back into the network, which is dangerous for people working on the lines.
Can I plug a generator into a normal wall socket?
No. Back-feeding through a socket is unsafe and not permitted. We install a proper changeover or inlet instead.
Can a generator work with solar and batteries?
Yes. Many systems use a generator as extra backup. We design the connection so the two work together safely.
