Will solar keep my lights on during load-shedding?
Only if the system includes a hybrid or battery-backup inverter. A basic grid-tied system switches off when the grid goes down for safety reasons. See our inverter and battery backup page.
How big a system do I need?
It depends on what you use and when. We size it from your bills and the appliances you want to run.
Can solar be added to an older property?
Usually yes, although the DB board and wiring may need upgrading first.
