Swing arm or underground motor?
Swing arm motors are easier to access and often cheaper to fit; underground motors are hidden but need more civil work. We advise on what suits your gate.
Does the gate need to be heavy duty?
The gate should be sound and swing freely. Heavy or poorly hung gates may need repairs before automation.
Can I still open it by hand?
Yes. Motors have a manual release so the gate can be opened during a failure.
